First Impressions On The First Lesson

I’ve placed myself on a mission to learn how to think in a more successful manner by making use of the principles, knowledge and experience related to me in ““ by Charles F. Haanel. This is a result of becoming interested in the “Law of Attraction” and then receiving so many helpful responses.

Part One or, the first lesson, is simply 45 listed sentences. The first seems to me to ease the beginner into what follows: “That much gathers more is true on every plane of existence and that loss leads to greater loss is equally true.” Simple, obvious, yet distinct.

These are my first impressions before putting into practice the last two thoughts in preparation for lesson two.

I definitely have a habitual or predominant mental attitude.

I was “infected” with the wrong method of thinking by parents who were also obviously “infected” with the same. Too bad they weren’t introduced to this book, it was there then… because… “the secret of all power, all achievement and all possession depends upon our method of thinking.”

Learning that all power is from within awakens us.

The “forces” are mighty in the world within! And are governed by mind. All laws of power and possession are within our control.

All “out there” reflects what is “in here.”

Harmony is an extremely important word! Wisdom within provides the power to manifest marvelous possibilities without.

Consciousness is as important as harmony! To acquire power one must be in harmony with Natural Law and conscious.

When the “objective mind” thinks correctly it results in strength, vitality and all constructive forces building in our body. Conversely, when the “objective mind” thinks incorrectly, all the destructive forces are unleashed.

We have a subconscious which connects us to the “Universal Mind.” It “presides over all subjective sensations, such as joy, fear, love, emotion, respiration, imagination and all others.”

The great secret of life is the coordination of these two centers of our being and the understanding of their functions.

“It is absolutely essential that you control your thoughts so as to bring forth only desirable conditions.”

“A majority of mankind lives in the world without; few have found the world within, and yet it is the world within that makes the world without; it is therefore creative and everything which you find in your world without has been created by you in the world within.”

“To remove discord, we must remove the cause, and this cause can be found only in the world within.”

“The error of the ages is in looking for strength or power from without.”

Which all lead me, initially, to consider - where has this been all my life? Very interesting, not very complicated or beyond “normal” folk. I can do this and, therefore, so can you if you’ve found yourself wanting in life.
