How I Make Money Online
I make money online. Some folks ask me how I do it. A lot of it comes from selling websites. I like to build sites and flip them. I also like to help people build their own websites and help flip them.
In 2006 a large portion of my income was generated through the sale of websites. So lets talk about how to make money online and what I’ve learned about buying, selling, and marketing websites online. The key thing to understand about buying sites is buy a site and be patient. You will probably only recoup your investment quickly if you are patient or highly skilled in bringing ad dollars to the table.
My #1 Most Effective Way to Make Money Online Is By Flipping Sites
- I’m not a web designer
- I’m not a professional coder
- I’m a mad content generator

By “build links” do you mean “convince other sites to link to you”?

What I would like to see is a list of sites that engaged in link baiting. Is there a good example out there?

Work At Homes,
At the beginning, the key to getting your foot in the door is acquiring leverage, and I can’t emphasize enough that to do this, you either need to 1) know the right people 2) buy established websites or 3) buy links on established websites.

IMO, before buying a site it would be good to check for its SEO, what’s it’s ranking, number of backlinks their quality, relevancy also take care whether that site is not involved in any linkfarms or other spamming tactics due to which your site may get in near future.

Just curious, why do you sell the sites? Do they require too much ongoing time/effort to sustain the income?
It would seem to me that building ongoing income would be better than selling out for a once-off cash hit, especially when you’re only selling for 12x earnings (very cheap compared to offline businesses).
I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
