Introducing Performancing Partners

by admin on July 25th, 2006

performancing partnersAs soon as I heard Performancing was working on an advertising network aimed at bloggers, my eyes lit up. Not as much as the time I got my first Google Adsense check, but enough to spark interest.

I jumped onto the Performancing Partners beta list and have kept a watchful eye ever since. The Performancing guys are smart, I’ll give them that but as for their current chosen Ad-Format; I don’t like it.

Don’t ask me why, I just don’t find it attractive. I’d rather view Adsense text links that look at the Performancing sidebar advertisement. It doesn’t look like it would fit in with everyone’s design and layout.

Things I do approve include;

  • Partner code is open source
  • Optimized solely for blogs
  • Mouseover text - something nobody else has done. Useful? Only time will tell.

All in all, Performancing has impressed me before so I can’t see why they can’t do it again. I’ll be waiting eagerly for Nick and co to release a public version and yes, Work Boxers will be first in line to pump out a review as soon as humanly possible.

    […] Just a heads up, the folks over at Performancing.com have released their brand spanking new advertising system, dedicated to bloggers. Now I’ve talked about their partner program before, noting that I disliked the ad layout but that was several months ago. […]
