The Law of Attraction and A Rank Beginner
For nothing other than a pure, simple desire to learn and discover whether I might implement the Law of Attraction in some positive way in my life (if that even makes sense) I’m going to take a quick, completely uneducated look at this Law of Attraction. At the back of my mind is - can this benefit my blogging life?
I say at the back of my mind because through some very quick reads I think I see that the Law of Attraction has its basis in thought, hence - the back of my mind. I have not consulted with anyone regarding this.
From the Wikipedia;
“The Law of Attraction is commonly associated with New Age and New Thought theories. It states people experience the corresponding manifestations of their predominant thoughts, feelings, words, and actions and that people therefore have direct control over reality and their lives through thought alone. A person’s thoughts (conscious and unconscious), emotions, beliefs and actions are said to attract corresponding positive and negative experiences “through the resonance of their energetic vibration.” The “law of attraction” states “you get what you think about; your thoughts determine your experience.” The idea has received intense criticism from multiple circles in the media, the scientific community, and even other areas of the New Age Movement.”
Hmmm - my first thought [pun intended]? My first thought is “Am I screwing me?” That feels negative doesn’t it, but its my first thought. My second thought is “Isn’t it really obvious that Loren Feldman has a self-destructive mode?” Because, if we apply these first considerations to Loren Feldman, it becomes very, very obvious that he is disingenuous and on a mission to self-destruct. And he’ll have earned it. Something I would want to avoid. So, I’ll check my thinking and learn more about this topic.
In addition to the Wikipedia, another fine jumping off point, for me, might be Steve Pavlina. Steve nicely explains how The Law of Attraction and Subjective Reality seem to go hand in hand. The explanation that Steve wrote last year about Subjective Reality made perfect sense to me as I read it for the first time;
“Subjective reality is a belief system in which (1) there is only one consciousness, (2) you are that singular consciousness, and (3) everything and everyone in your reality is a projection of your thoughts.”
The beginning.
